
David Peters
Founder & Owner
David Peters is the Founder and Owner of David Peters Financial Group and Peters Tax Preparation & Consulting, PC. David has over fourteen years of experience in financial services, including 3 years in the hedge fund industry and six years in the insurance industry. David was the first-ever Chief Financial Officer at Compare.com - a position he held for more than three years.
Currently, David is a National Instructor for the AICPA, Surgent, and Kaplan. He regularly teaches courses in accounting, finance, insurance, financial planning, and ethics throughout the United States. David holds four masters degrees, and is currently pursuing his PhD in Financial Planning. He contributes regularly to various CPA publications, including NCACPA’s Interim Report, SCACPA’s CPA Report, and VSCPA’s Disclosures. David was also a co-author of the 2018 Virginia CPA Ethics course – a required course for all CPA’s licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Courtney DeAngelis
Operations & Client Strategy Manager
Courtney DeAngelis is the Operations & Client Strategy Manager at Peters Financial, where she supports the firm’s advisors, clients, and leadership team across a wide range of strategic, operational, and financial functions.
Courtney holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and is Life & Health licensed. Her background in asset management, tax strategy, and technology integration enables her to deliver thoughtful, high-quality support across both client-facing and operational areas, ensuring clients and advisors feel informed, supported, and understood.
Courtney’s expertise spans the full lifecycle of client engagement—from initial client meetings and new account onboarding to ongoing account maintenance, portfolio servicing, and operational oversight. She is deeply involved in supporting advisors and ensuring that every investment account is opened, maintained, and serviced accurately and efficiently.
At Peters Financial, Courtney played a key role in helping Dave establish the firm’s Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) and has been instrumental in building the operational foundation that supports the firm today. She led major initiatives such as transitioning investment management in-house, integrating multiple fintech and custodial platforms, improving reporting processes, and building scalable systems that streamline workflows across the organization.
Originally from the Chicagoland area, Courtney moved to Tennessee four years ago with her husband and two children. Outside of work, she stays busy supporting her kids’ sports schedules and serving as Secretary for the Greeneville School District. She also enjoys traveling—especially cruising—and spending time with her three dogs: two labs and a Great Pyrenees.

Devin White
Financial Services Associate
Devin White is a Financial Services Associate at Peters Financial, where she supports advisors and clients through a wide range of operational and service functions. With experience in the financial industry since 2017, Devin assists with new account .
onboarding, account updates and maintenance, transfers, distributions, and document processing. She also prepares review materials and coordinates ongoing service needs, helping ensure each client’s experience is organized, timely, and aligned with the firm’s standards of excellence
Devin holds her Life, Accident, Health & Sickness Insurance License and has completed multiple professional certificates in administrative and operational disciplines. Her professional background includes extensive client-facing experience and a strong understanding of financial account workflows, giving her a detail-oriented and client-centered approach to her work at the firm.
A Louisiana native, Devin currently lives in her home state with her husband, daughter, and family dog. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing creative interests, including DIY projects, gardening, and art. Devin values balance, creativity, and connection—qualities she brings to her personal life and her role at Peters Financial.
